OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE and REACH OUT - BEYOND THIS WEEK
Hygiene Items for Nu-Vizion - Do you have extra, or can you purchase these items: paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex or any personal care products, such as shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, tooth brushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, or razors. We are helping out Nu-Vizion Church. They are in need of these items, to help those that can't get them with government assistance. They pass out these much needed items out every Tues. So let's bring some of these items in on Sunday and place it in the box at the door. They can also use travel size products that you may have from your travels. These are used for those that don't have anywhere to store those bigger items.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

We want to touch more people with the message that God loves everyone, and so we have a variety of upcoming events that will help us to introduce The Village to our neighbors and to the greater Toledo and NW Ohio region. The more servant leaders, (our word for "volunteers"), we have for each event, the more people we can reach.
Vacation Bible School - Mark your calendars for this year's Vacation Bible School with our sister church, Park Congregational UCC, 1456 Harvard Blvd., August 8 - 12, 2010 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. each evening. It is sure to be a lot of fun!
August 28th - AIDS Walk - Join Pastor Cheri, who is one of the co-chairs, for the Greater Toledo AIDS Walk. Details to follow.
